The brief

Odd Folk sells wooden toys that last for decades. Their shelves were full of good things that all looked the same, so they asked for one mascot to tie the shop together.

What I did

One mascot felt lonely, so I cut 42. Every creature started as a pencil rough, then became coloured paper, glue and a lot of patience. Each one got a name, a job in the shop and a shelf card that tells its story.

What happened

Kids now ask for creatures by name. The shop reprinted the shelf cards twice in the first season, and the paper originals hang in the window.
